Saint Julien, Singapore

BZ and IP invited XQ and myself to dinner at Saint Julien some 10 days ago. I was there a previous time with BZ and he found it so nice that he wanted to bring IP here. I've tried the foie gras, lobster bisque, pan-seared scallops, and roasted lamb here. I would say the foie gras and scallops are quite well done, but the lobster bisque and roasted lamb turned out to be disappointments. The lobster bisque was without a single piece of lobster and had only one miserable piece of scallop. The roasted lamb I had that night was baked in a pastry dough, and the pastry dough was so thick that it was not cooked properly. On top of that, the food is expensive. For dessert, I had the crepe suzzette which costs S$32 for two pieces of crepe! The ambience is good, but the value and quality of food is questionable.
