Café Cartel, Singapore

The Café Cartel chain has been a recent lunch/tea time favourite of my family, mainly for its value. The ribs are good value for money compared to Tony Roma's, although the dish is very localized and too spicy for my liking. I recently tried their pasta, and found that the white cream sauce is too thick. However, the pasta is done just right (al dente) and not overcooked.

Well, I should explain why the pasta cream sauce is thick. It is because different cooks will cook differently ... so maybe that time when you went for it, well, I would say you might be unlucky to actually had your pasta cooked by a trainee? So that's why I hope you will understand the reason behind the sauce being thick ... as for the ribs, I feel that if I am not wrong, it must be the fry noodles that is spicy .. well, I can explain that also, this is because the person who cooked it could have put extra amount of chilli flakes in it? Ha ha ... I am a cook in Cafe Cartel and well, I really do hope to see you coming often to our restaurant to have your meals, especially you must come to Raffles City Cafe Cartel and I will make sure you will have a good meal over there!

It may be right, sauce was prepared by trainees but does the manager or chef check the food quality before lunch or dinner start (tasting).QUALITY. This is very important for cafe or restaurant when they are doing very large volume especially RAFFLES CITY.
you have to be very careful with you comment MAX, just to share you. Mr chee enjoy your Ribs and it value for money can be better that Tony Roma's, it just that he dont like food too spicy and he added is very localized. If customer want chilli sauce or chilli flakes, server can bring to the customer or they can help themself at the bread counter. If you are a cook this little comment is valued, it will help you to understand what kind of customer likely and how to ensure that they will come back again to try your new dish, if you have? buliding customer not just service but food and price is the most important facter.
